Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 Review

Star wars the force unleashed 2 is a sequel to 2008's force unleashed and is made by Lucas Arts. The game was released in 2010. The game continues the story of force unleashed 2 and this time is about starkiller's new clone that is made by darth vader and is meant to be the perfect replacement for the original starkiller.

Story

The story begins with Darh Vader visiting his newly developed clone of Starkiller. He soon finds out that he is haunted by the visions of starkiller and dreams about a girl. Darth Vader forces him to confront robots in shape of people he knew and he is unable to kill Juno, the girl she dreams about. Starkiller then remembers that Darth Vader killed the original starkiller so he attacks vader before he can do the same to him. He then escapes the facility and travels to find Juno. Meanwhile, Vader hires Bobafett to find Juno.  Starkiller then rescues Master Kota encounters Yoda on the planet Dagobah. He then is haunted by weird visions & goes to Juno's ship and finds her captured by Bobafett. Meanwhile with the help of Kota, the rebels launch an attack on the planet Kamino. Starkiller crashes the ship into the planet's shield and destroying it allowing Kota to attack the planet easily while she goes after Juno. Starkiller confronts Vader and in the process, Juno is thrown out of the window. Starkiller attacks Vader with all power. He cuts Vader hands off and is ready to kill him when Kota and his men arrive. Kota tells him not to kill Vader because they can interogate him and find secrets of the Empire. In this section, you can make two choices: Light Side: You don't kill Vader and go to Juno. She is alive. Starkiller kisses her and they leave as Kota's men arrest Vader. Bobafett follows starkiller and Juno without them knowing.  Dark Side: Starkiller raises his lightsaber to kill Vader but is hit by a shrouded figure behid him. Kota attacks him but is killed by him. The shrouded figure takes of his cowl as vader tells the dying starkiller that he lied about all the clones failing. The shrouded figure is the prefect clone of starkiller. Vader then tells the clone to kill rest of the leaders of the rebell aliance.

The story is just bad. It's boring and it just gives you all the familiar characters of Star Wars and the cloning concept that we have seen a lot in star wars. It just doesn't go anywhere.

Gameplay

The game is kind of fun but gets boring and repatative as you move on. The game allows you to use force powers that are really cool at the start. Force Push, Moving objects or enemies, throwing your lightsaber and my favourite, lightning. You also have normal lightsaber combat with dual lightsaber that is awesome at the begining. You can do some combos using lightsaber and force powers. You can create lighting grenades by picking up stuff with force, use lighting on them and then trowing them. So you start the game with most of the powers and then you earn a few as the game goes on. The game is fun at the begining but then you find out that you are doing the same thing over and over again. You have some stronger enemies that killing them is exactly the same everytime; like the AT-AT that you have to repell it's missles and then perform an attack on them. Every single time it' the same. Level design is boring too. Maps look like each other and are just boring. You have to spend a lot of time in one level and the same enemies just diffrent numbers keep attacking you. Starkiller doesn't talk a like in the game so that is boring too. You just kill and kill and kill untill you reach the end of the level. Boss fights are pretty cool but again for example the giant monster boss, you have to do one thing over and over again. I like games that are diffrent every time you try them and have variety. Speaking of variety, you can customize your lightsaber and costume. You can also upgrade your force powers. I didn't change mine because I liked the dual red lightsabers. The game has also some puzzle solving that are just stupid (in my opinion). The best part of the game is the Fury mode which you get really strong and it's awesome.
The game also has destructible environment which you can damage most of the stuff in it. But again, it's boring. I'm already bored of writing about how boring the game is.

Graphics

The game looks absolutely gorgeous. The graphics are impressive. The details, lights, and everything else is great. Lighting shock looks great and destroying the enviroment is really good. This is the only thing I liked about the game.

9/10

It's boring. It's really fun at the beginning but you keep doing the same thing over and over again. But the game looks beautifully visually. The graphics are great and the team has done a great job with the graphics. Force Unleashed 1 was a lot better that this. Especially the sith edition. Buy this game if you're a star wars fan because this game really does give you the star wars feeling.
